Born and raised in Southern California, I was always intrigued by the "Little Blue Dogs." In the early 80's I bought my first little blue dog named "Aussie". He was your typical barn dog: very loyal and went with me everywhere, 24/7! I was very involved with showing horses at the time so when my trainer gave me my second blue boy I was hooked! His name was "Robbie" and he made the huge move with me to New England.
It wasn't until my first girl "Chloe" that I actually had an interest in becoming a breeder of these great dogs. I was fortunate to meet up with a very successful breeder by the name of Heather Braddock of Harmony Hill Aussies. Let's just say I learned a great deal from Heather and still to this day respect and admire the Aussies she has bred.
Some years later I was fortunate again to sell one of my puppies to a pet home with the one request to please let me see him as he matured. Well, most of you may know who I'm talking about. But for those who don't I'm referring to CH Stormridge's He's All That "Caleb"! If it were not for Honor Blume of Bow Meow Regency in Sheffield, MA, many of us would not have the wonderful show dogs and foundations that we have today!! So a huge "Thank You" to Honor!
And of course we can't leave out all the wonderful puppies I have kept and shown and gone on to breed, and all of owners who have made them who they are today. We are proud of the mark that we continue to leave in our breed.
Today, I share my life of dogs with my two wonderful sons, Evan and Aaron. Not that anyone sees Evan much at shows, but he is truly the back bone to Stormridge Aussies. He has for about 8 years taken most of the responsibilities of feeding and getting dogs in and out and helping with the puppies day to day. Aaron is the one who everyone remembers because he walks into a show ring and just does it! He has a natural way with all the animals but the dogs are very taken with him and he loves to show!
That is the short version of my start in Aussies, and can't imagine a day without them in my life! Feel free to contact us with any questions or comments about our dogs. Enjoy our website!
